TIROS ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All of your shot data, personal bests, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it never leaves your phone unless you choose to delete the app or clear its data.

  • Shot speeds and distances
  • Personal best records
  • Unit preferences (KM/H or MPH)
  • Distance settings

Anonymous Analytics (Optional)

If you have not opted out, we collect anonymous usage analytics through Firebase Analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it for all users.

What we collect:

  • App usage patterns (which features are used most)
  • Session duration and frequency
  • Device type and operating system version
  • Country/region (not precise location)
  • App version

What we DO NOT collect:

  • Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
  • Precise GPS location
  • Photos, contacts, or other personal data
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Any data that could identify you personally

How We Use Your Information

The anonymous analytics data we collect is used solely to:

  • Understand which features are popular and which need improvement

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Anonymous, aggregated analytics data is processed by Firebase (Google), which is our analytics provider. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

Local data: Your shot data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We have no access to this data.

Analytics data: Anonymous usage data is retained by Firebase according to their data retention policies (typically 14 months for user-level data).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete all your local shot data at any time through the app
  • Uninstall the app to remove all local data
  • Request information about what data we have collected
  • Request deletion of any data we may have

Children's Privacy

TIROS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to be used by all ages and does not require any personal information to function.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed through our app. Since we don't collect personal data, there is minimal risk to your privacy. All data transmitted to our analytics service is encrypted.
